Overlapping genes and information theory.

چکیده
The discovery of overlapping genes in the viruses 4 x 1 7 4 and SV40 has generated a number of interesting questions. Here we are concerned with the contribution of information theory to the analysis of overlapping genes. The purpose of this letter is to comment on Yockey's 1979 application of information theory to these problems.
